Summary
The Story the Outsiders is about a 14 year old boy in a Gang called the greasers wanting the love from his older brother.
The name of the 14 year old boy is Ponyboy. Ponyboy is in a gang called the greasers, he is the youngest in the gang and he has 2 older brothers. In the book the socs (rich kids) and greasers (poor kids) have gang fights. Ponyboy just wants his oldest brothers Darrys love, but he doesn’t realize that darry is so strict with him because he loves him. Soda the second oldest brother, can't stand the fighting that always happens between Ponyboy and Darry, but no one realizes that Soda is struggling with the fighting and that Sandy moved away. In the end Soda runs away , Ponyboy and Darry find him a bit later and Soda explains everything, that he has enough with fighting and the situation with Sandy. In that moment Ponyboy realizes what Darry did for them.
